I'm a little worried because today is all about reggaeton, all the latin genre that I mentioned in the title are the heart and soul of latin music and culture, without these genre, there wouldn't be a reggaeton at all. I've heard a guy that went to medellin colombia, he went to a club and he said that the clubs only played electronic music and reggaeton, this worries a lot.

In need of some advice for my first time growing magic mushrooms
ok, so I am interested in growing some magic mushrooms for myself and maybe some friends, after doing some research I found that Psilocybe cubensis is the best option for me because it grows locally (medellin, colombia) and I found this local provider that is selling the kit that you can see in the image, the instructions seems to be relatively easy, just put the container in the culture bag and mist it with water a couple time per day, the seller says that you can get 3 batches of mushrooms with this kit but because I am a cheap ass I want to expand the culture so I want to know if it possible to drop the culture on a bigger container with sterile substrate so it will spread on its own there and I will be able to get a more mushrooms. for the substrate I was thinking about PF-Tek but I would like to know if you have any better suggestions.
thanks in advance.

How I Got My Apartment
Hey guys,
After a pretty long process I was able to get a long term rental in Medellin (unfurnished) as a foreigner without a visa or anything.
I wanted to give a tour and explain the process of how I did. Obviously you can do Air BnB's if you want but I personally wanted a long term rental and it's cheaper if you get it unfurnished. Plus you can design it how you want.
Let me know what other things you guys want me to talk about and I'll make a video about it.
Cheers,
Wes

PRIMETIME News Report on Mass UFO Sighting in Medellin, Colombia - Translated into English Subtitles
About 3 weeks ago, residents of Medellin, Colombia, were treated to a display of UFO's witnessed and recorded from several areas around the city, with the objects being visible for just over an hour (and it is alleged there were several groups/fleets of craft, including a massive disc).
The next evening, TELEMUNDO, a Latin American news channel that broadcasts on Hispanic networks throughout South, Central, and North America, featured a report on the UFO's on their equivalent news special to '60 minutes' - called Al Rojo Vivo.

Pablo Escobar: Money hidden in wall found in the capo's house

A nephew of infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar has said he found a plastic bag with money worth $18m (£14m) hidden in the wall of one of his uncle's houses.
Nicolás Escobar told Colombian media "a vision" indicated where to look for the money in the apartment where he lives in the city of Medellín.
He said it was not the first time he found money in places where his uncle used to avoid capture, as Escobar reportedly hid millions in properties.
He died in a police shootout in 1993.
At the peak of his career Escobar was said to be the seventh richest person on the planet.
Rumours of Escobar's hidden fortunes have circulated in Medellín since his death, after he spent decades waging war against the Colombian state to prevent his extradition to the United States.
Nicolás Escobar told Colombian TV channel Rojo Noticias he had also found a typewriter, satellite phones, gold pen, a camera and a film roll yet to be developed.
"Every time I sat in the dining room and looked towards the car park, I saw a man entering the place and disappearing," he said.
"The smell [inside] was astonishing. A smell 100 times worse than something that had died."

Pablo Escobar reportedly hid money in numerous properties in Medellín
Some of decades-old banknotes were decayed and no longer usable, said Nicolás Escobar, who has been living in the apartment for the last five years.
In the interview, he said he accompanied his uncle on many occasions, and that he was once kidnapped by individuals looking for Escobar's whereabouts: "I was tortured for seven hours. Two of my workers were attacked with a chainsaw."
Who was Pablo Escobar?
Escobar was born in Rionegro, Colombia in 1949 and established a drug cartel in Medellín in the 1970s.
At its most active, the gang supplied an estimated 80% of the cocaine smuggled into the United States.
His wealth catapulted him into the Forbes list of global billionaires for seven years.
After the US issued an extradition order, Escobar resisted capture and his gang targeted politicians, the police and journalists.
After he was arrested in 1991, Escobar was housed in a prison of his own design, nicknamed the Cathedral, where he continued to oversee the Medellín Cartel.
In all, Escobar is thought to be responsible for some 4,000 deaths.
But his humble roots made him popular among some Colombians whose support he cultivated by giving out large amounts of cash and investing in poor neighbourhoods in Medellín.

K: Porque regañas a mi hija??
H: No la regañe.
K: No mientas, vi cuando este cagon la regañaba.
P: Ellos no hicieron nada, solo siéntate y deja de joderle la vida mis hijos.
Silencio

2020.09.23 21:25 BigLadyBugBelly Advice on meeting my Colombian girlfriend’s family and friends?

I’m an American and will be seeing my girlfriend soon and her family and friends in Medellin. I have been practicing Spanish, but my Spanish is still poor. I’m hoping to improve a lot while in Colombia.
I know language will be somewhat of a barrier, but I plan to know how to introduce myself and try to speak Spanish with everyone. I want to be respectful and connect as much as I can with family and friends despite my limited Spanish. Any advice or recommendations to connect and show respect with family and friends?

Hey guys how are you? In 2018, I passed a really tough time, which were the worst months of my life so far (no exaggeration). Ironically, after passing this time, it turned out to be also the best thing ever that could have happened to me: it helped me take decisions with a much stronger will - and gave me the courage to get out of my daily-german-super-safe-and-dangerously-comfy life and move to Colombia. Two years later, I am still here, happily married, and now looking for a small house to buy close to the city. I literally could not be happier! AMA :-) Proof: https://youtu.be/jWXHpJ_bHcw

2020.09.22 13:22 JBL_0 Former Norte de Valle Cartel Leader Killed in Colombia

A retired Colombian cartel boss who rose to power after the death of Pablo Escobar has been assassinated by hitmen.
Beto Renteria, 75, was once head of the notorious Norte del Valle mob which shipped drugs worth billions to the US. Renteria - who only recently returned to Colombia after seven years in a US jail - was gunned down in a modest home in Sajonia, Tulua, on Wednesday.
Local reports say he was sitting in an armchair sipping water when the assassin fired through a window, hitting him in the head.
The hitman, who used 9mm "dum dum" hollow-tip bullets to ensure he would not survive, fled with an accomplice on a motorbike.
Authorities deployed extra security forces to the region to stop an outbreak of revenge violence after his death.
It is not yet known who ordered the professional-style hit, but Renteria made many enemies over the decades.
He was involved in smuggling narcotics from the 1970s, and became one of the trade's most powerful figures after the fall of the Medellin Cartel when Escobar died in 1993.
At the height of his powers he declared himself an enemy of Miguel and Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela, bosses of the feared Cali Cartel, and waged all-out war on his rivals.
His organisation shipped cocaine from all over Colombia and Peru to Mexico, from where it was smuggled to the US.
The US government put a $5million bounty on his head and began targeting his assets and vast property portfolio, which ranged from agriculture to hotels, clinics and the local football team Cortuluá.
Colombian authorities also seized 34 of his properties in 2006 as his empire began to break apart.
In 2010 he was captured in Venezuela, reportedly with the help of British intelligence services.
At the time he was classified as "the last great boss of the Norte del Valle Cartel", since the other leaders of the mob had died or were captured.
He was extradited to the US where he served seven years for trafficking.
After returning to Colombia he was reportedly arrested again in 2018 and was due to face further charges.
His whereabouts were unknown to the public until his assassination this week.
The investigation into his murder continues.

My Top Second Molars Sometimes Hurt (X-Ray Included)
Hello all, for about a year now I have been having frequent headaches (about 1x a week) near my top two second molars (green circles in pics). They are growing a bit out of place so I was thinking maybe it's impacting my teeth and causing some pain. I am currently living abroad in Medellin, Colombia, and had an X-Ray and consultation about it via text. The dentistry here is great, but I still feel like there is a bit of a language gap here.
Can someone look at the X-Ray and the quotes below (under the pics), and let me know what they think and confirm if I need bruxism plates, rather than extraction or something else?

https://preview.redd.it/pqbkoi8h4ko51.jpg?width=1167&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5375aae12c6996f7b4140e4afe196b2b511d9b17

https://preview.redd.it/gu2vzpni4ko51.jpg?width=1207&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bad1219d711fa7326b7706a75f3c92901fad99c

Hello, we have already reviewed your X-ray, no dental damage or nerve damage to the teeth is observed where you are feeling pain, a generalized inflammation is observed, probably due to bruxism, so the ideal at this time is not to remove the teeth, but rather to do a bruxism plate to improve pain.
the cost of the bruxism plate is 300,000 pesos (~$100 USD)
The retainer that you use if it helps you in a certain way to protect the teeth but they do not generate balance in addition to not controlling bruxism so it is only focused on retaining the upper teeth and its design is precisely for that, the bruxism plate is programmed with the lower teeth which achieves a balance that helps the face and neck muscles relax and bruxism is controlled, this is an unconscious reaction of the body, it is a response to stress or dental imbalance and we can also brux During the day when we are quiet, it can be reading or watching TV, only we do not realize it
And the plate that we would make is not like that, the plate covers all the teeth, not only the front ones, but it also goes to the back teeth and is programmed with the lower teeth

2020.09.20 18:57 ForkAndPepper Travelling to Colombia in December for a month, need some help on some foodie hidden spots & itinerary.

I saw that Colombia just opened up to tourists (including us Canadians). I was already planning on coming to Colombia last May for 2 weeks, then it was cancelled due to COVID. I'm more than likely coming Dec 2 - Jan 2, although waiting a few weeks before booking.
So if I'm there for a month, it kind of changes my original itinerary. Was originally planning 5 days in Bogota (mainly meeting up with some chefs & trying out some of the best Bogota restaurants and street food), then going to Cartagena for a week of resort relaxing. Now that I have an extra 2+ weeks, I was hoping to get some ideas on where else to go.
Biggest focus for my trip would be for unique Colombian cuisine, weird restaurants/street food, great seafood, epic local village/town hotspots etc. Aside from Medellin (which I'm planning on going to), is there any other places I should specifically go to? Maybe Cali? Also, Is San Andreas worth the extra flight, or is it an average tourist resort island? If you have a specific local hotspot that isn't on the typical google searches of "best restaurants in X city," let me know!
*Also, if you run a unique or trendy restaurant, or you're a local food guide and want to be featured on my new food channel, message me!
**Bonus points if you give me a suggestion on where to be for Christmas.
